Reverse voltage protection |

All Polyamp DC/DC converters have either parallel or series diode on the input to protect the input from reverse voltages. Usually that only occurs during installation. The parallel diode is dimensioned to blow an input fuse. The reason we do not always use series diode, is the at low input voltages the series losses in the diode is too important. That affects both the efficiency and the input voltage range. ![]() Reverse voltage protection with series diode ![]() Reverse voltage protection with parallel diode and fuse |

| Our Åtvidaberg plant is expanded and refurbished we also a new entrace. The reason is increased demand of our DC/DC converters and that the production of the Systems division products has also been moved to the plant. In connection with the expansion we also changed the energy system and are using heat pumps charged by the Swedish Granite ground. |
