We at Polyamp are specialists in power supply products and have more than 50 years of experience in the industry.
We have our own design and manufacturing of DC/DC converters and AC/DC power supplies. Our specialty is voltage converters with high reliability, for use in harsh environments.
We also specialize in the design and manufacture of mine protection equipment systems for international naval forces. We have our own manufacturing of sensors for measuring under water electric fields , with both civil and military applications.

All friends at work.
What about work makes you want to get up in the morning every day?
I enjoy my job very well, and really feel that I fulfill an important function.
What is the biggest challenge at work. How do you handle it?
Since I work in the workshop, I handle machines. I have to think for both my safety and that I don't break anything
What is the most important thing to think about when someone is new to you?
That you yourself want to be a piece of the puzzle for us.
What are the top three qualities that you consider important in the position?
Pleasant as a person, be interested in what we manufacture and want to take responsibility.
How would you describe your company culture?
We are not a very big company, so there is a lot of team spirit here. It's nice here!
What do you think is the biggest difference in the industry today, compared to 5-10 years ago?
Unfortunately, I did not work in this industry 10 years ago.
Last but not least, tell us something funny about yourself?
I am very technically interested, but also like to work with my hands. Enjoy everything from building windows the old way, to tuning engines.

What gives you the most energy in your ministry today?
When you know your job, have fluency and get credit for it.
What about work makes you want to get up in the morning every day?
Enjoy the job. To plan the work yourself and be responsible for it. Build from grain to loaf. It's a craft we do.
Co-workers too, of course.
What is the biggest challenge at work. How do you handle it?
That you make so many different types of devices.
Learn from each other.

That you dare to ask, nothing is obvious how to do it.

Accurate, responsible and helpful.

Most of the time we work alone but sometimes together with someone.
We are a team, trying to help each other.

Didn't work here then, but more directly to customers today, not against stock.

My name is Ingela and I live in Åtvidaberg with my partner. Have 2 adult children who are away and 1 grandchild. I spend my free time with family and association life
How long have you worked at Polyamp?
In the summer, it will be 17 years since I worked at Polyamp. First 14 years as an electronics fitter and quit because termination. Then I got the chance to come back and work as a warehouse manager and I have been doing this for 3 years now until the summer.
What gives you the most energy in your ministry today?
Varied tasks. No two days are alike.
What about work makes you want to get up in the morning every day?
My colleagues and that I enjoy my work.
What is the biggest challenge at work. How do you handle it?
To get the deliveries to the customers every day. You just have to keep fighting.
What is the most important thing to think about when someone is new to you?
To absorb information from the experienced colleagues.
What are the top three qualities that you consider important in the position?
Responsive, helpful and a pleasant treatment to everyone.
How would you describe your company culture?
We are a good group in both assembly, testing and the offices. We help each other if needed.

It is difficult to get hold of trained/qualified personnel and components.
Development has moved forward.

Prioritize doing the right things. Have meetings - talk to others. Set common goals and priorities.

Be curious. Don't be afraid to ask others or ask for help.

Take responsibility for what you do and what you leave behind
Take it for yourself and be curious, don't be afraid to make mistakes, but try not to make the same mistakes several times.

The demands on products and services are constantly increasing. In the last 5-10 years, there has been a big lift in terms of safety requirements.

Finding solutions for the customer
No customer is the same as we work all over the world.
What about work makes you want to get up in the morning every day?
That I know that every day things happen that I could not have predicted.
What is the biggest challenge at work. How do you handle it?
That you have to learn to prioritize in order to catch up when time gets tight. You have to be close to your colleagues to be able to brainstorm ideas about how things should be prioritized.
What is the most important thing to think about when someone is new to you?
That you dare to be curious and want to learn new things. Be inquisitive.
What are the top three qualities that you consider important in the position?
Responsive, curious and thorough.
How would you describe your company culture?
Open, accommodating and innovative.
What do you think is the biggest difference in the industry today, compared to 5-10 years ago?
When I started, it was still a lot of phone calls, now it's almost exclusively email. There was no component shortage then either, so the delivery times were shorter.

My two biggest interests are sports and gin. So a perfect Saturday night is a British football match with a GT in hand.
